Leadership Development
For more than four decades, Al has been mentoring future leaders. As a board member and president of multiple state and national organizations, Al knows what it takes to be a leader. He wants to help grow leaders in your community, business, or local government. By facilitating working sessions that focus on confronting issues and creating opportunities, Al will help leaders sharpen their focus and increase their impact.
Our Approach
Meet
Al enjoys getting to know people, and he’s able to quickly hone in on their talents and strengths. At your initial meeting, Al will get to know your basic story, your “elevator speech,” and learn more about the role you play in your organization.
Assess
By talking through your background, discussing what excites you about the future and where you deliver value, Al will help you determine how you can most effectively serve. By asking the right questions, Al will help draw out and map your best path.
Cultivate
As you continue your journey, Al will be available to continue your mentorship through new obstacles and challenges. As your goals change, Al will help you reach them and continue to strive for greater opportunities.
Success Story
Al’s reputation for leadership has prompted leaders to ask him to speak to their organizations. The U.S. Army War College, with the founding philosophy: “Not to promote war, but to preserve peace,” contacted him to participate in leadership discussions for community-based problem solving. This week-long exercise was part of the professional development for Army officers. It helped with understanding the dynamics of thought processes and decision making at the local level because officers are expected to be involved in the communities where they are posted.
Client Testimonial
I was thrilled to be asked to say a word or two about Al, because he’s my mentor and I wish him all the best. I value my time serving this community at the Chamber and value even more the impact Al Hodge had on my life and my career. No words could ever sum up the appreciation I have for him and our community has for him.Alison Smith
